Out(side) With The Old...

The Colony Aquatic Park's new chair lift takes it permanent position as workers roll the old lift out to be installed on the Outdoor Leisure Lagoon.

The new battery powered lift has an extended carrying capacity of 500 pounds.  The old chair carries 100 pounds less, but is still in excellent condition and will allow the facility to meet new ADA standards on the outdoor pool.

The new lift is installed on the Indoor Pool because its heated water attracts a large number of guests with special needs to exercise programs throughout the 12-month calendar.

Lifeguard Boot Camp just might be the wackiest fitness program ever!  Starting in March, teens and adults will have a chance to work out to the zany drills that actual Lifeguards use to get ready for their summer season.  This is NOT a Lifeguard certification, but a fitness training program for everybody.  Find out more details about this (and actual Lifeguard Certifications) go to this link- Teen/Adult

H2O Go! is a twice-weekly swim club open for all children who are comfortable swimming the length of the 25 yard indoor heated pool on their stomachs and on their backs.

Sea Dragons is a new competitive USA Swim Team that meets four to five days a week for kids and young adults.

Hydro-FAST is a new twice- weekly swim group aimed at preparing youth for middle school swim teams and summer swim clubs.  Open for grades 4th through 8th, students should be comfortable swimming 50 yards on Backstroke and Freestyle to qualify for the class

Kayak Polo sounds crazy, but it combines the excitement of kayaking with the speed of waterpolo.  Part of the national team comes from our facility!

For more information on any of these youth programs visit this link- Competitive Swimming

Parties, Kayaking, Exercise, SCUBA,

& Private Swim Lessons are just a few

of the winter activities in our warm water pool.
