Youth Basketball

The Colony Parks & Recreation Department offers two seasons of youth basketball each year for boys and girls between the ages of 4 - 14.  A child's playing age is determined by their age on September 1st of the year in which they are registering.  Registration for summer basketball begins in April, with the season running throughout the month of June.  Summer basketball offers an eight game schedule playing twice a week for four weeks.  Winter basketball registration begins in September, with the season beginning in December and ending in February.  The winter basketball season is 10 weeks long (10 games) with games scheduled on Saturdays.

Qualifying winter league teams have the opportunity to advance to Texas Amateur Athletic Federation regional and state competitions. For more information on TAAF, please visit www.taaf.com .
