Can't find your lost pet? First, contact Animal Control as soon as possible to see if he or she has already been picked up. If it hasn't, then you'll want to file a Lost Pet Report with the animal's description (including any identifying marks), as well as the location you lost it and your name and contact information. We'll make every attempt to contact you if it comes into the shelter, but we do recommend that you come in and VISUALLY inspect the animals at the shelter, as you will be the best identifier of your animal. This should be done every TWO DAYS. We can only hold animals for four days as strays before placing them up for adoption.
In the event that you find your animal at the shelter, we will need a copy of the CURRENT RABIES VACCINATION CERTIFICATE (we cannot accept rabies tags as verification, since they contain no description of the animal). If the animal is out of date on the rabies vaccination, you'll need to prepay with a vet of your choice for the Rabies Vaccination, and have that prepaid receipt faxed to us at 972-370-9259. Then you will have four days to get the procedure done and seven days to report back to us. Once we have that receipt, you'll be able to take your animal home. Our reclamation fees are as follows:
- Impound Fee: $25/animal
- Boarding Fee: $10/day/animal
Please Note: WE ACCEPT CASH, IN-STATE CHECKS AND CREDIT CARDS-- NO OUT-OF-STATE CHECKS ACCEPTED.
