Phase IIIB Streets Reconstruction

The second set of nine streets is being replaced as part of the Phase IIIB Street Reconstruction Project.  The nine streets are Curry Drive, Ash Glen Lane, Truitt Street, Alpha Drive, Alta Oaks Lane, Amhurst Lane, Ashlock Drive, Avery Lane, and Blair Oaks Drive.  The streets will be reconstructed to the same width that currently exists with six inch thick concrete reinforced paving.  Sidewalk and driveway returns within street right-of-ways will be reconstructed.  Drainage improvements and new water and wastewater lines are being installed during the project. 

In addition, the project includes improvements to the drainage on the Roberts Drive alley.  Construction consisted of the installation of a storm drain system to intercept storm water flowing down the Roberts Drive alley. Alley reconstruction was necessary for a portion of the alley to install the required drainage.

UPDATE:

The improvement of Blair Oaks Drive from South Colony to Arbor Glen Drive has begun.

The contractor has installed the new water main and is currently installing the last sections of the new storm drain line on Blair Oaks.  They are preparing the removal process of the south bound side of the street and sidewalk.

The contractor has installed the new street lights on Curry Drive.

On Ashlock Drive, the contractor is installing the new street lights this week.

The contractor is planting new grass on Ash Glenn Lane this week.

On Amhurst Lane, the contractor has removed the old sidewalks and is currently setting and placing the concrete for the new sidewalks.

On Alpha Drive, the contractor has replaced the entire street, and is preparing to remove the old sidewalks.

Paige Road Reconstruction

The contract includes the reconstruction of Paige Road from South Colony to North Colony from four lanes to six lanes.  Sidewalk, alley, street, and driveway returns within the streets' right-of-ways will be reconstructed.  Drainage improvements, new water and wastewater lines, and a wastewater force main are being installed during the project.  This project also includes expansion of the parking lot to the North at Hawaiian Falls.

UPDATE:

The contractor has completed concrete replacement on the North bound side of Paige Road. Traffic has been switched over to the new pavement, and they are currently removing the old paving on the South bound side and installing the new water lines, storm drains, and wastewater lines.

The Hawaiian Falls parking lot improvements are complete.

Memorial Drive

The segment of Memorial Drive to be constructed is the eastbound lanes from Blair Oaks to Paige Road. Work shall include all components necessary for the construction of Memorial Drive, including paving, water, wastewater, and storm drain installation. Construction began on Memorial Drive in November 2007. 

UPDATE:

The storm drainage system has been completed. The contractor is currently waiting for Oncor to install electrical power for the irrigation system and for the street lights.
